Last month, I outlined how I work and who I help (click HERE to read that post if you missed it). This month I will share a brief ‘success story’. It focuses on one young adult I have worked with over the past 2 years helping them navigate multiple life changes and achieve numerous successes.

Not all graduates are fortunate enough to have a job ready for them after they finish their education. If your son or daughter falls into that category, you’re not alone. It’s very common that the confusion about their own future presents itself as a lack of motivation to do almost anything related to pursuing a career.

Whether you have the summer off from school, just graduated, or have planned a vacation away from work, I recommend taking some time this month to stop and reflect. 

The next step after graduation can look different for everyone. Maybe they have a job lined up or maybe they haven't even begun to look. Maybe taking some personal time to sort things out would be beneficial. Maybe they feel like they have absolutely no direction whatsoever.

One of the most important points I make with my coaching clients is that there will be times in your life when you’re going to be in an uncomfortable situation or phase. Being stagnant and staying in your comfort zone doesn’t always allow for growth during those times. But by stepping out of that comfort zone, not only do you give yourself the opportunity to grow, but you’ll also be able to excel.
